Sam Pahl Receives Rising Star Award

Each year, LeadingAge Minnesota’s Rising Star Award recognizes the commitment, contributions and impact of a person in their first three years at their organization or community. Chapel View Campus Administrator Sam Pahl received the Rising Star Award at the 2025 LeadingAge Minnesota Institute and Expo.

Sam has been with Cassia for three years, and in that short time, he has made his impact felt at three different communities. This includes his current position at Chapel View in Hopkins, Minnesota. As a former Certified Nursing Assistant, he has used his experience to improve quality outcomes, resulting in better care for residents. Sam remains a caregiver at heart and understands that each resident deserves to be treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

“What makes Sam so special is that he is the epitome of a servant leader,” says regional director of operations Matt Tobalsky. “He genuinely cares about the team and the people they serve. The team trusts him and feels comfortable coming to him with both concerns and ideas on how their site can improve.”

Sam is one of the many strong leaders Cassia employs at more than 40 senior living communities across five states.
